The Kambitsis Group and Simon Chappel Group formed two thirds of the consortium behind South Australia’s first 5 Star Green Star rated office development- Flinders Link. This landmark development completed in 2007 was an example of how businesses could reduce their carbon footprint and is considered one of Adelaide’s most progressive, functional and prestigious CBD commercial developments, setting a benchmark for A Grade commercial developments which followed in Adelaide.
Flinders Link accommodates the national head office for Santos Ltd and the state headquarters for Insurance Australia Group (IAG) and its brand subsidiaries SGIC and CGU. Both Santos and IAG independently sought proposals from the marketplace for the relocation of their existing offices to new purpose built office accommodation that satisfied a raft of physical, financial, environmental and social objectives for their respective organisations. Following an exhaustive selection process, both organisations selected the Kambitsis/Chappel lead Flinders Link consortium for the relocation of their substantial office functions. The ‘pre-leased’ development was complemented by the integration of the 700 bay, nine level car park, which Ezipark Pty Ltd (leased now by Wilson Parking) had committed to in advance.
